Canadian Arts Productions is a Windsor, Ontario based production company specializing in video production and media training.

Our latest project is a short film called On the Money.  It will tell the story of Windsor actor, writer and performer Leslie McCurdy and her quest for social justice and racial equality.

Leslie has been performing her one woman show, The Spirit of Harriet Tubman, for twenty years now. She also portrays Viola Desmond, often called Canada’s Rosa Parks. Tubman has been chosen to be on the US $20 in 2020 and Desmond will be on the Canadian $10 in 2018. They’re all ‘on the money’.

The film will feature original music and dance performed by Leslie and accompanied by a local choir and dance group.

Canadian Arts Productions is grateful to the city of Windsor for providing a generous grant that will help kickstart the production.
